ASSEMBLY - SHARPENING YOUR SKILLS
(JANUARY 24, 2024)
“In the realm of learning, where talents refine, Skills polished like silver, gleaming to shine. Concentrate on sharpening your skills and your surroundings will hunt for your talent.”
With this thought in their minds the students of class V- I presented an enriching assembly on the topic- ‘Sharpening your skills.’ Morning is the most important part of the day. A blessed day starts with the morning prayer. Thereafter, the Goenkan reporters updated everyone about the latest happenings in and around the world. Further, students present a talk show “Skills Unveiled” in which they have shared how Chef Vikas Khanna developed the skills of an author and a filmmaker along with culinary art. The highlight was the meaning, importance and need of sharpening the skills regularly. Students shared motivational quotes and thoughts in English and Hindi, a motivational and a short skit to reiterate the fact that skills need to be sharpened regularly to succeed in life. Skills are the abilities that enable individuals to translate knowledge, attitudes and values regarding their concerns into well informed and healthy behaviors. Empowered with these skills, people are able to make decisions based on “what to do, why to do, how to do and when to do”.
They shared some tips on how their wishes can change to reality through efforts made in the right direction. The assembly left everyone spellbound with their inspirational thoughts and an impressive dance performance on an inspirational song. Taking great pride in their school, the Goenkans sang the school anthem. To further enlighten us, our mentor and our class rep addressed the audience. With this the assembly came to an end.
