ASSEMBLY- MINDING THE PLANET

       “PROTECT TODAY, PRESERVE TOMORROW MIND THE PLANET”

We as humans interact with the elements of nature and sometimes leave the environment as an afterthought. It is for this reason that we should raise awareness to save the planet and inspire to promote a cleaner, greener and more equitable future for everyone around the world. With this thought the students of class IV-F presented a mesmerizing assembly on the topic – MINDING THE PLANET.

To start the day with the blessings from almighty, the assembly began with a beautiful prayer. The students shared an inspirational thought related to the topic and the Goenkan reporters updated everyone in a very creative way about the latest happenings around the world and in GDGPS through their news channel “GDG AWAAZ”.

The assembly presentation started with an understanding of the importance of a greener future for generations. The presenters explained to the audience about the 3R’s that is reduce, reuse and recycle through an interactive enactment. The students were thrilled to participate and were eager to answer every question that was put across.

The presenters gave a beautiful dance presentation on the song “Save the planet for me and you”. The assembly was fueled with enthusiasm of students as they sang and danced to the tunes of foot tapping songs, which made the audience sway to the music. The assembly was well concluded with the school anthem sung with great pride and fulfilment.

To further enlighten us, the school headmistress Ms. Shalini Tandon, addressed the assembly and inspired all to keep working towards minding the planet. The assembly instilled optimism and awareness. It left us with a thought that every action, no matter how small, makes a big difference..
