ASSEMBLY- IMPORTANCE OF BEING RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS

“Without accountability, there can be no trust,

 and without trust, there can be no meaningful collaboration.”

The assembly was introduced by the students of VII D showcasing the key points about being responsible, taking ownership of their actions, decisions, obligations and being accountable, reliable, and trustworthy in fulfilling their duties and commitments.

The assembly commenced with a morning prayer by the school choir followed by the inspiring thoughts and the news updates by the Goenkan broadcast. The Goenkans laid stress on the fact that in today's rapidly changing and complex world, the need for responsible behavior has even been greater while facing the challenges such as pollution, ozone depletion, climate change, global warming. It's time to take up the responsibility and become a ‘generation restoration’ which is also the theme of ‘World Environment Day’ this year.

The students narrated a story on the same and followed up with thought provoking reflection questions. They also remembered Gandhi’s vision that he believed ‘ a clean environment was not just a civic duty but a moral responsibility’. To deepen the impact of his vision a melodious sitar presentation was presented on the song ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ which mesmerized the audience. The Goenkans reiterated the theme by showcasing the struggle of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Azad’s life, depicting responsibility is an essential trait that every person should strive to embody, through a well-choreographed dance performance.

The Head mistress, Ms Shalini Tandon, an epitome of motivation and encouragement, addressed the students with her encouraging words of wisdom. She said that responsibility involves acknowledging and accepting the duties and tasks entrusted to us. The assembly culminated with the rendition of the School Anthem.
