ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION

A CONFLUENCE OF TALENT, TRADITION, AND EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION

On October 16th and 19th, 2024, G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurugram, hosted its Annual Day celebration of middle and senior students through a diverse range of artistic expressions and an extensive array of performances across three sessions.

The program featured a collection of performances, including an intricate musical orchestra, choir and a theatrical presentation on 'Kabir – Tathya Bina Na Satya' a theme of profound significance rooted in the timeless teachings of one of India’s most revered spiritual poets, Sant Kabir. The production that creatively integrated dance & drama, conveyed Kabir’s enduring philosophies of truth, introspection and social egalitarianism, providing the audience with a profound and reflective experience. The annual day celebrations not only entertained but also imparted essential lessons about empathy and integrity, exploring the contemporary relevance of Kabir's teachings.

Adding to the learning, Chairman Mr. Vipul Garg emphasized the critical role of fostering curiosity and analytical thinking in current educational paradigms. He reiterated that the “school is committed to raising the next generation not only as successful individuals but as humanistic beings who lead lives of purpose, guided by a sound moral compass.”

Founder Principal Ms. Anuradha Handa in her address articulated the school’s forward-thinking educational model, which integrates traditional values with contemporary pedagogical techniques, referring to it as a “Modern Gurukul.” This approach aims to prepare students for the complexities of a rapidly evolving world.

The celebrations also included the expansive exhibition Luminescence, which showcased an impressive array of student projects across diverse disciplines including technology, science, and the arts. The exhibition served as a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education, displaying innovative and research-driven work that underscores GD Goenka’s focus on nurturing creativity and critical thinking skills in its students.
