TEACHER’S BOOT CAMP - LOOKING WITH PRIDE AND BEING FUTURE READY

Saturday, December 28, 2019, not only marked the last working day of the school for the annual  year 2019 but also for the decade. All the teachers from the Primary, Middle and Senior Wings assembled together for a session presided by Ms.Anuradha Handa, the school Principal in the conference hall and shared their reflections, milestones and experiences of the year that is drawing to a close.

Under the visionary leadership of its Principal, Ms. Anuradha Handa, the principal, the school had had organized numerous teacher training sessions and workshops throughout the year which empowered and enabled the staff members to add 21st century skills to their repository of expertise and also taught them how to redouble their collaborative efforts.

Firstly, the teachers were allocated different groups when they sat together in conference hall and were oriented about the day’s proceedings. Then, every group went to different sports areas like skating ring, basketball court, football field etc, and underwent some physical training as well as enjoyed fun games which enthused and warmed everyone.

After a tea break, teachers with their group mentors were given an hour’s time to prepare 5 minute presentations on Pride, Aha Moments, Skill, Future Ready and Empowered as themes in relation to their learning and reflection of the year.

The presentations created fresh moments of togetherness and oneness among the Goenkan team. In the form of role plays, dance, music, rap song, nukkad natak, jingles etc each group gave their straight-from-the-heart presentation through which they conveyed a sense of gratitude for the organization.

The day ended with sumptuous meal served in MP Hall, where the heads, teachers and other staff members, informally interacted and shared their closeness.
