IC3 CONFERENCE, MUMBAI

The Annual International Career & College Counseling (IC3) brings together higher education representatives for a collaborative dialogue on issues that drive sustainable and inclusive counseling practices focused on student success. With a view that career and college counseling is as important as teaching Mathematics or English in high schools, IC3 aims to empower high schools with professional development opportunities to ensure that students find the best answers to questions like “what to study,” “where to study,” and “how to make it happen.” Through the Annual IC3 Conference, IC3 Regional Forums and the IC3 Institute, the IC3 Movement envisions that every high school in South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand and the surrounding region will run a robust, well-resourced career and college counseling office.
The 3-day conference was attended by School Principal Ms Anuradha Handa accompanied by a teacher of the school Ms Shoma Roy.
The conference comprised sessions like Foundations of Career & College Counseling, Comparing the College Application Process Across International Higher Education Systems, Exceptionalities and Inclusion – Addressing academic and Social – Emotional needs, Tools to run a successful College guidance program in Schools, to name a few.
With almost 500 high school delegates and 400 university delegates representing over 36 countries worldwide, it was a learning from leaders in the field of college and university admissions from around the world, dwelling deeper into the “what and where to study?” question, participate in a global dialogue on important issues such as access, affordability and community engagement and evaluation of the long-term impact of career and college counseling department and its role in the School curriculum.
